If you do not already have an ANZ Smart Choice Super account, we will open one for the purposes of receiving rollovers from your other super account(s) as well as any contributions. To commence payments you will need to call Customer Services on 13 12 87 to transfer the balance of your ANZ Smart Choice Super account to your new pension account.

Insurance in your super

In ANZ Smart Choice Super you can add Lifestage Death cover*, with no paperwork or medical checks.

If you add insurance cover, insurance fees will be deducted from your super account.

*Your Lifestage Death cover will automatically adjust with your age, is subject to eligibility and excludes Pre-Existing Medical Conditions, as explained in the Additional Information Guide. Insurance cover will not commence until we receive the first contribution into your account and will only remain in place if you retain a sufficient balance to fund the cost of the insurance cover. Insurance cover is only available to Australian Residents or visa holders who reside in Australia. Once your account is open, you can remove your insurance cover or apply for Choose Your Own Death, Death and Total Permanent Disability or Income Protection cover via ANZ Internet Banking or by calling 13 12 87.
